Welcome to Mountain City, Tennessee!
Thank You for Visiting the Official Website of Mountain City

Mountain City is located just a few miles from both the Virginia and North Carolina state lines. US Highway 421 connects Mountain City to Bristol, Virginia in the northwest direction and to Boone, North Carolina in the southeast. State Hwy 67, the winding road that travels alongside beautiful Watauga Lake, connects Mountain City to Elizabethton, Tennessee.

There is lots to explore in Mountain City and the surrounding area. There are antique shops, trails, lakes, a golf course and many more exciting things to do. We are proud of Mountain City small town charm. For more information about our town, give us a call or better yet, plan a road trip and see for yourself what our little town has to offer. You'll be glad you did.

LEADLINE INVENTORY AND SURVEY
Due to the Federal "Lead Service Line Replacement and Notification Act" all communities need to prepare a comprehensive water service line material inventory and report their findings to the State of Tennessee.  The Town of Mountain City will be contacting all water utility customers in order to complete this survey.  Watch your mail for our easy Postcard Survey or pick one up at City Hall.  All customers returning their completed survey by May 15 will be entered to win one of many exciting prizes! Click here for more information about the Service Line Inventory Survey!
